Strategic Breakout Sessions

Trust and Technology in Hiring

Hiring used to run on friction. A resume came with a phone call, a referral, or a reference, and that friction created trust on both sides. Today mass-generated applications meet automated screening, and trust has thinned in between. Talent leaders are the ones who decide what the process looks like, which makes this our problem to solve. We’ll discuss where trust is breaking down, what teams are doing through process, communications, and technology to rebuild trust, and what the standard should be from here.

Moderator: Hazy Sandoval, BrightHire

Reinventing the Top of Funnel

Everybody agrees the top of the funnel is broken. A flood of applicants is being met with new technologies to sort, rank, and filter candidates. Some companies are taking innovative and creative approaches to ensuring their recruiters can spend time with the best qualified candidates. We’ll discuss what’s working, what’s not, and whether people, technology, or some combination of both should be the gatekeeper to the entry point of the hiring process.

Moderator: Oliver Stephenson, BrightHire

Building the AI-Native Talent Organization

AI technology is advancing far faster than talent teams’ capabilities to experiment, adapt, and deploy at scale. We’ll discuss how teams are managing experimentation, iteration, governance, and skill building, and review specific examples of successes and failures we can learn from together.
