
Most of what people think they know about AI’s effect on jobs comes from headlines, not data. Drawing on Anthropic’s Economic Index and labor data from over a billion LinkedIn members, this session shows that the most AI-exposed jobs haven’t seen rising unemployment since ChatGPT launched, and that companies adopting AI are often hiring more of the very workers it could theoretically replace. What’s actually changing is the skill mix, with a sharp rise in demand for people skills and judgment, and a shift away from technical specialization.
